Graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute's (WPI) Interactive Media program. I majored in Game Development, specializing in audio engineering and game design. While at WPI, I focused on project based learning that equipped me with the knowledge, work ethic and leadership skills needed to be an effective and efficient team member. I've worked on a variety of projects, from leading class-sized teams to self-publishing my own work. I truly love the work that I do.
For a graduate class, I was the audio lead for a VR audio experience that involved an external client in Kyoto. I effectively worked a 9-5 with this job, balancing it with my other course-load. I handled the audio implemenation and editing such as, getting spatialization working for our flock and having said flock's sound changed depending on the distance between the player and the flock. I also worked with binarual beats, implementing them within Unity. I was given pre-set audio clips from our external client, making it an interesting challenge to work with what I was given instead of creating my own clips.
I had the pleasure of creating a sound effects library purely made of sounds that a partner and I recorded and edited. We created Foley sound effects to achieve different sounds, refining and modifying the recorded sounds within REAPER.
In my undergraduate studio course, I made a game with 2 others in seven weeks. We split the responsibilites of the game, and I was our audio lead. I created two songs for the game, trying to focus more on fitting the theme instead of having a perfect song. I also made the sound effects, implemented the audio and made audio sliders in the menu. I had to manage the amount of time spent on this project, due to it being one of the four projects I made around this time, thus not being able to give it my 100 percent.
During my junior year, I gladly worked on an Oral History project involving the industry veteran, Mike Breault. My partner and I had a wonderful online interview with him and after that interview, edited the full video into bite-sized pieces for easier consumption.
Another Try is the visual novel for my Major Qualifying Project, or MQP. I am the lead game and sound designer, and writer. I worked with two other artists, who worked on the art of my game.
For this course, I excitedly created a vertical slice for a pet project of mine. Everything in the environment was made by me, other than the sea of water. I mostly focused on programming and 3D modeling, only spending a few hours on the song in the background. Every 3D model in the game, including the parts of the plane are modular, allowing for ease of creation.
